Born of Water and the Spirit

3:07 PM

Hello Everyone,

We have had an exciting and busy couple of weeks making the final preparations for our Thanksgiving Outreach (Nov 24) and the continued planning of New Years (Dec 29). This ministry along with other churches have united in an effort to collect donations for both these events. There are many things left to do, but we are beyond excited of what God has in store!

This Monday was nothing less than a big blessing. We all gathered on the streets of Downtown Miami and had worshiped the Lord. This Monday was quite cold so before we started the service, we handed out blankets. Thankfully we had enough for everyone.

The word was so captivating this night, centered on the struggles we face daily. Our brother Jose gave the word and he shared some great bible verses. As he read John 3:1-5,  the words resonated throughout the street. It spoke of the doubt we have in our hearts when it comes to being born again. Nicodemus was a man of God that asked an important question: How can I be born again through water and spirit but not be literally born again physically? That’s the wonder of Jesus; he offers a true and new life though his renewal in our lives. If one does not decide to be born again, then one simply cannot enter the kingdom of God. God is always so good to us and reveals his true plans for our lives, and that’s life that is like a fresh new start.

The message was this: God can offer us a new beginning if we decide to live for Him
I love that Jesus gave this hope to all of those at downtown last night.

As the word ended, we all gathered for prayer and quickly started serving food. We served about 90 hot meals this past Monday night. Plate after plate, hot rice with some meat stew and beans came rushing one after the other. Everyone looked so content enjoying their food and that to us is the best feeling ever!
We are reaching colder temperatures, so blankets and sweaters are a must in this season. Blessed by several donations everyone received a warm gift for the cold night. This night was just full of blessings, making us all feel so loved by our King Jesus!

We are so happy with how God has been providing so much and we can’t wait to continue being used by him at downtown every week. If you would like to contribute in any way possible, please contact us at give@JesusRockofLife.org.
